"Kung Fu is primarily a martial art, but to stop there does the art and oneself a great injustice. In addition to the martial aspect, we learn through correct training, how to conduct ourselves in everyday life.
Being a Head Chef and having travelled a little and lived in different countries; I love interacting with different people from all walks of life. Kung Fu has allowed me to meet many great people and to be able to see them grow in profound ways. Assisting Shkar and Kristina with the children's classes and with the beginners has been really rewarding. To be able to see the strides each person takes, gaining in confidence and ability, gives a fantastic sense of fulfilment. Compared to Shkar & Kristina, I am a relative newcomer to Kung Fu, so I remember a lot clearer what it is like being a complete beginner. I remember training in classes and being frustrated that my body just wouldn't respond to my commands. For this reason, I am excited to teach the beginners classes and give back to newcomers what I continue to receive while training at Kung Fu Zone. Whether you are looking to improve your fitness, refine your discipline, learn traditional Kung Fu & Tai Chi, wield weapons, hit pads, or spar, there is something for everyone. Each class will challenge you in its own way, so it's essential to look up and say "I can"." |
